UPDATE: Insight Terminal Solutions OBOT Development Held Up By City Of Oakland

One of a series of updates on the Insight Terminal Solutions Oakland Bulk And Oversized Terminal Project that was started with Oakland Developer Phil Tagami.

Insight Terminal Solutions LLC has made considerable progress on the way toward building the OBOT. For those who may not know, the OBOT is a bulk terminal designed to cleanly and effectively transport commodities like iron ore and coal from America and to Asian markets.

Contrary to some reports, coal demand worldwide is on the upswing of late and only projected to decline by two percent in five years, or from 27 percent of energy production demand to 25 percent.

What offsets that is the growth of population and urban development in Asia as a whole. Iron ore and coal, both commodities to be transported by the Insight Terminal Solutions Oakland Bulk and Oversized Terminal, are also responsible for the production of steel. The World Bank has estimated that coal itself is responsible for 71 percent of worldwide urban development.

The Oakland Bulk And Oversized Terminal is poised to serve that market from its Port of Oakland location.

The role of Louisville, Kentucky-based Insight Terminal Solutions LLC is to be the developer partner to Phil Tagami, who is managing partner of California Capital Investments Group (CCIG).

Insight Terminal Solutions (ITS) explains it’s mission on its website (http://insightterminals.com/) as follows:

ITS will operate the world’s most innovative, efficient and environmentally sustainable bulk commodities marine terminals. While maximizing workplace safety, terminal volume throughput and custom satisfaction, Insight Terminal Solutions will promote the economic development and growth in the communities in which we operate.

Stay tuned.

Oakland News Now Note: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest version of an experimental Zennie62Media mobile media video-blogging system network. This is a major part of our new approach to the production of news media. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and also seek interested content and media technology partners.
