All Oakland Unified School District Schools Open Friday During PG&E Power Outage

Oakland, CA – Oakland Unified School District just announced that all schools are open tomorrow, Friday, October 11. The following is a message we sent to all students and staff along with an audio version of the message.

“Greetings Oakland Unified Community. This is communications director, John Sasaki. I call with GOOD NEWS. The power shutoff to Oakland is now over. That means all of our schools will have power and be open for teaching and learning on Friday, October 11. Once again, the power shutoff to Oakland is over, so all schools will be in session tomorrow. We look forward to seeing all students and staff in class first thing in the morning. Thank you for your patience through these challenging circumstances.”
