Baked Cheese Tart San Francisco Westfield Shopping Center’s New Craze – News

There’s a sweet movement at Westfield Shopping Center San Francisco. Literally. Baked Cheese Tart is all the rage. If you go to the mall nearUnion Square on Market Street, and then take the downstairs escalators to the food court you will see what is happening. A line that starts to the right and then around the corner. At times it stretches into the Powell Street BART Station. But all of the time, it’s long. What is going on here?

Baked Cheese Tart is a Japanese Cheese Tart and a chain that started in Hokkaido, and has 47 stores in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, is now in America. San Francisco’s the first American city for the popular brand and it looks like the executives made the right decision. “Some of our customers come from as far away as Asia, said the affable manager at Westfield. “Sometimes they wait for three hours.” And she says the reason people wait it simple: they’re just that good. The tarts are made with a double-baked crust and come in a variety of flavors. Store hours are 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm through the week.
