BORIS JOHNSON is preparing for a major clash with the EU and has convened a special committee to assess Brexit tensions with the bloc.
Amid tensions over Northern Ireland and Jersey’s fishing rights with France, the Prime Minister formed a committee to discuss the consequences of triggering Article 16. The committee was transformed from an XO Cabinet to a Cabinet. GB or British Global commission inside Whitehall. Amid the dispute with France, UK officials have now reopened discussions about activating the tool. Article 16 could be used as early as the end of next month after the COP26 summit.
