“California For Warren” to Open Oakland Office With Rebecca Kaplan, Oakland City Council President

Los Angeles, CA – Following a series of successful barnstorming events and “Warren Weekends” in dozens of places across the Golden State to train volunteers, California for Warren will open its first office in Oakland on Sunday, November 10. Special guest Oakland City Council President Rebecca Kaplan who has endorsed Elizabeth Warren will attend the event. Warren received multiple important new endorsements this week including Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley.

Kaplan stated: “Elizabeth Warren knows what’s broken in America, she knows how to fix it, and she is building a grassroots movement to get it done. In a Warren Administration, we will build affordable housing, secure LGBTQ+ equality, work to end racial disparities and lift up frontline communities in the fight for environmental justice I know Californians can count on her to fight for a government and an economy that works for everyone, and I’m proud to endorse her for President.”
The team will host a canvass launch and multiple trainings at the event to bring together supporters and show them all the ways they can get involved with the campaign.

“Organizing is at the heart of Elizabeth Warren’s fight for big, structural change in California,” said California State Director Nicole DeMont. “Our new office in Oakland is an investment in meeting people where they are and building a grassroots movement to level the playing field for all Californians.”
