Cat Brooks, the Oakland-Activist who’s now the leading challenger to incumbent Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, called Zennie62Media to make it crystal clear that she’s not at all teaming up with fellow Oakland Mayoral Election candidate Pamela Price in a Rank Choice Voting strategy.
Pamela Price, the Oakland Lawyer most famous for representing Jasmine Abuslin AKA Celeste Guap in suing the Oakland Police Department in the Oakland Sex Scandal, has taken up the work of communicating that she wants her supporters to vote for her as number one choice in the Oakland Mayors Race, and Cat Brooks number two.
Cat Brooks Leaves Pamela Price Backing Her With “Pamela’s Thing” in Rank Choice Voting
But Cat Brooks wants no part of that.
“I have made it clear I’m not involved in any team up with Pamela,” Ms. Brooks called to say, “that’s Pamela’s thing.”
This blogger has not yet reached out to get Price’s reaction as of this writing, preferring to get the word out about what Ms. Brooks said, first, then share that with the Oakland Lawyer.
As for Price and what she’s done to communicate the Rank Choice Voting preference, she has said to attendees at forums to pick Cat as their second choice. Also, Price, Brooks, and fellow Oakland Mayoral Election Candidate Saied Kamarooz were all at a Monday Oakland City Hall event related to the plight of Temporary Protected Status Holders.
But Cat Brooks’ decision leaves Pamela Price effectively marketing for Brooks, while Brooks doesn’t return the favor. So, “Pamela’s thing” helps Brooks.
