The proposed $1.57 million budget from City Manager Howard Chan was released Tuesday. The proposed spending plan funds 5,029 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions and avoids eliminating any jobs that are currently filled. However, the balancing plan in the proposal eliminates 44.20 vacant FTEs, according to a city statement.
