CES 2022: Supertone Unveils Innovative AI Audio Technology

Supertone, an artificial intelligence (AI) audio startup, will participate in ‘CES 2022’, the world’s largest consumer technology trade show held in Las Vegas, USA from January 5 to 8.

Supertone plans to expand its global network and create new business opportunities by introducing groundbreaking singing synthesis and real-time voice separation technologies, including the voice synthesis AI model ‘NUVO’, which won the ‘CES 2022 Innovation Award’.

Supertone researches and develops technology that captures the area of “emotion” in the voice, which existing TTS technologies fail to do. This allows for the creation of AI that can act and sing with emotional expressions previously unheard of in the field of synthesized voice.

Using Supertone’s voice synthesis technology, one voice can be converted into any desired voice, and conversely, any voice can be converted into one desired voice. For example, if Supertone’s voice synthesis technology is used for dubbing, multilingual dubbing can be performed with the voice of the original actor, allowing for a more immersive content experience. In this exhibition, visitors can directly experience the conversion of their own voices into other voices at Supertone’s booth.

Supertone will also present a newly improved singing synthesis technology, of which a previous version was used to restore legendary singers such as the late Kim Kwang-seok and Turtleman. Supertone’s singing synthesis technology, which boasts vocal quality that is indistinguishable from that of professional singer, is welcomed in the recently emerging metaverse market for its capacity to create new voices beyond replicating singers’ voices.

In addition, AI technology that can effectively and efficiently separate voice from noise in real-time can be seen at the Supertone’s booth.

A Supertone official said, “Supertone’s technology is a great help in creating more immersive content” and “We will do our best to enable content creators around the world to enjoy a more innovative production environment.”

Stay tuned.
