Charles Schumer Wonders If Russian President Putin “Has Something” on Donald Trump After Disasterous Summit

The Trump Putin Summit press conference has shocked America and the World and sent Washington DC’s Capitol Hill scrambling.

New York Senator Charles Schumer first posted on Twitter, and then gave a statement to the press that contained a paragraph which, if true, could mean that the Russian influence over American politics was not only very real, but deeper than we imagined. The full video of his statement is above, and what he wrote on Twitter is below, and in two forms: the words and the tweets:

“In the entire history of our country, Americans have never seen a president of the United States support an American adversary the way President Donald Trump has supported President Putin.

“For the president of the United States to side with President Putin against American law enforcement, American defense officials, and American intelligence agencies is thoughtless, dangerous, and weak. The president is putting himself over our country.

“Starting with the president’s trip to NATO and ending with his shameful performance at today’s press conference, has Donald Trump strengthened our adversaries while weakening our defenses and those of our allies.

“A single, ominous question now hangs over the White House: what could possibly cause President Trump to put the interests of Russia over those of the United States.

Millions of Americans will continue to wonder if the only possible explanation for this dangerous behavior is the possibility that President Putin holds damaging information over President Trump.”

On Twitter…

All of this in the wake of the Trump – Putin Summit, where at the press conference afterward, President Trump said when given a choice of siding with his own intelligence staff as well as the intelligence community or President Putin regarding his denial of the charges that Russian military officers worked to disrupt and fix the 2016 Presidential Election, Trump remarked “Putin.” This, President Trump told the world American intelligence got it wrong about Putin and the very idea of russian meddling in the 2016 Presidential Election, even though a mountain of evidence points to the claims that Russia did do it.

Donald Trump shook America to the core today.
