Forbes Magazine is reporting the following Chevron Ecuador court decision: “Steven Donziger and his law firm were found in contempt of court and Chevron was awarded reasonable attorneys’ fees against them in the Chevron Ecuador case. His law firm 
(essentially defunct now that Donziger has been suspended from the practice of law in all jurisdictions where, to our knowledge, he was licensed to practice) did not contest the contempt holding.
“Donziger himself did contest the holding, but his challenge has been deemed both “frivolous and deceptive” by United States District Judge Kaplan. And today, a ruling was handed down by Judge Kaplan granting Chevron’s attorneys’ fees motion in all respects, ordering that a money judgment be entered into in favor of Chevron in the amount of $3.4 million — the full amount Chevron had sought. This is in addition to two existing money judgments already entered in favor of Chevron and against Donziger earlier this year, for about $800K and $666K respectively, and in addition to the contempt fines payable directly to the Court which total somewhere between $3 million and $6 million depending on how they are calculated.”
