The Oakland City Council has several items on its agenda for May 28th, including calls for more homeless studies. It’s gotten to the point where homeless studies in Oakland have become an industry. Time to stop the studies and start the action.

It’s estimated that there are over 8,000 people who are homeless in Alameda County. Given the ratio of those persons who are in the City Of Oakland, it’s a fair bet that number translates to 6,000 in Oakland. There are scores of homeless camps, and little action to build the 4,000 new extremely-affordable homes needed to help solve this problem.
