This started as a YouTube video that someone named Taiho Decker made and then the poster pointed to “Democrats” as the problem – roving they don’t live in Oakland. If they did, they would have asked why the hell the Oakland Public Works Department took time to put down a sign, but did not clean up the human waste at the bus stop?
Given programs like AB-464, there’s no excuse for Oakland to look like this at all. Oakland Councilmembers like Loren Taylor in District 6 should spend no time thinking of running for Mayor of Oakland, when they can’t even take time to fix these problems as elected officials at the district level.
This should also wake local Democrats up to the fact that Republicans have used social media to broadcast urban problems in cities with left / progressive leaders. The City of Oakland gives them a lot of examples to make video content about.
Here’s the video text, and please fix our city, City of Oakland. Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and the entire Oakland City Council should be ashamed of this. Implement AB-464, ASAP.
