Delaine Eastin, California Governor Candidate, Says “When They Go Low, We Go High,” In New Ad Before June Primary

Delaine Eastin is in a tough battle in the Democratic Party race for Governor of California. According to Real Clear Politics, she’s pulling up the rear in polling, with 3.9 percent versus 27.3 percent for California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom. In an effort to change the equation, Eastin has turned to the words uttered by First Lady Michelle Obama: “When They Go Low, We Go High,” in a new ad, released today, four days before the June 5th California Primary Election. This was sent to Zennie62Media:

And the Delaine Eastin message:

Delaine Eastin, former State Superintendent of Public Instruction and candidate for Governor, surprised her opponents with the launch of Smash the Patriarchy, her new ad campaign airing in major markets across the state.

The ad has a similar tongue in cheek quality as her first ad, Cut Out the Middle Men. But this time, rather than highlighting the fact that her opponents consistently agree with her, Smash the Patriarchy highlights the sad fact that her male opponents spend nearly as much time attacking each other as they do on the issues most important to voters in California.

Delaine Eastin, the only woman on the stage with the men, has consistently risen above the drama, and in her ad she reiterates Michelle Obama’s iconic message, “when they go low, WE go high!”

This Saturday, Delaine is spending her day in Los Angeles yet again going high, focusing on the homelessness crisis gripping our state with a trip to Venice and a tour of Venice Community Housing. Delaine will also attend Venice Pride and the Bernie Sanders, Shaun King racial justice forum in Los Angeles.

Stay tuned.
