According to Vlad, Charleston’s offensive comments have provoked multiple artists and resulted in cancellations of shows. On one occasion, a major artist considered collaborating with Charleston. However, Vlad warned him about Charleston’s offensive behavior, and as a result, the opportunity for collaboration was lost. Vlad points out that the consequences of Charleston’s words are real, losing opportunities and sparking backlash. The discourse also looked at the relationship of artists, media, words, and violence. Despite receiving threats, Vlad and Akademiks agreed that they would never instigate violence. Akademiks noted the sometimes problematic relationship between rappers and words, highlighting how it often leads to fights and feuds. They further debated Charleston’s fear and precautions taken regarding potential violent repercussions.
