ESPN’s Last NBA Finals Day At Oakland Lake Chalet, Perhaps Ever

ONN – ESPN’s Last NBA Finals Day At Oakland Lake Chalet, Perhaps Ever

June 14th, 2019 marks ESPN’s last day producing shows from Oakland’s Lake Chalet. Something that started with the Golden State Warriors 2015 trip to the NBA Finals turned into an annual habit.

ESPN shows “First Take” and “The Jump” were made in what is called the Gondola Room. Fans of the shows would line up as early as midnight for the doors that opened at 5:30 am.

ESPN put Lake Chalet, Lake Merritt, and an Oakland America never saw before on the map.

Now, the Warriors are headed to San Francisco, where, if they return to the NBA Finals, will play host to ESPN shows.

End of an era in Oakland.

Stay tuned.
