Las Vegas – President Barack Obama-appointed Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai is not attending CES 2019. The man installed by Obama in 2012 and was renominated by President Donald Trump in 2017, will not attend CES, and presumably due to as a result of agency funding lapses from the Government Shutdown that was imposed by Trump. This was his exchange with me, Zennie Abraham of Zennie62Media, a moment ago, this Monday morning:
Unfortunately not.

Mr. Pai has planned an interview session with moderator, Consumer Technology Association (CTA) President and CEO Gary Shapiro, but that has been cancelled. (Zennie62Media coverage of CES 2019 Las Vegas is sponsored by Lyda Music. Listen to her new album Divine Distraction, here at this link.)
Second Time In A Row Ajit Pai Skips CES Las Vegas
CES 2019 Las Vegas marks the second year in a row that Ajit Pai has canceled plans to attend the biggest consumer electronics showcase in America. He skipped CES Las Vegas 2018, pointing to safety concerns following the FCC’s move to repeal the Open Internet Order, which reversed net neutrality regulations, only a few weeks prior to the conference. Law enforcement intervened in Pai’s 2018 appearance, following death threats he received in the wake of the net neutrality rollback decision. It was the first time in five years that Ajit Pai missed attending the CES Las Vegas.
Stay tuned.
