Happy Juneteenth Says Oakland Grand Lake Theater Marquee, Thanks To Allen Michaan
Juneteenth, the June 19th day that marks the end of slavery in America in 1866, is now a national holiday. Grand Lake Theater Owner Allen Michaan changed the famed marquee of his great movie palace to reflect this historic occasion.
The Grand Lake Theater, at 3200 Grand Avenue, is showing “A Quiet Place”, “Cruella”, and “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” this week.
