Oakland – This Thursday, January 30,2020, the Brazilian Heavy & Thrash Metal band Hellway Patrol (Hellway Patrol website here) will perform in Oakland, California for the first time as part of their 16 – date tour around the US West Coast and Mexico. The power trio will present its intense sound at Elbo Room Jack London (311 Broadway), in a night with In Spades, Absolute Darkness and War Troll. The gig is schedule to start at 8 pm with admissions for $10 and the age rating is 21.
Formed in the city of Londrina in 2017, Hellway Patrol is currently integrated by Ricardo Pigatto (vocals and bass), Netto Pavão (drums and backing vocals) and Thiago Franzim (guitar and backing vocals). The power trio is in the pre-production of their next album and is featuring its unpublished set list in 15 cities in the states of California and Nevada, as well as in the Mexican city of Tijuana. The North American tour will end on February 9 in Los Angeles.
Recently, Hellway Patrol temporarily bid farewell to the Brazilian stages with a performance in their hometown when they opened the show of vocalist Blaze Bayley (formerly Iron Maiden member). The performance was part of the X Factor – XXV Celebration Tour, which commemorates the musician’s passage through the legendary British band.
Pointed by specialized vehicles as one of the revelations of the new Brazilian underground scene, Hellway Patrol released on major 7 inch vinyl and digital platforms, signed by David Paul Seymour (Slayer, Muse, Mastodon, Agnostic Front), Desert Ghost. The band’s latest work has taken Hellway Patrol to dozens of Brazilian cities, on a 25-date tour of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands in 2019, and performed alongside Willie Heath Neal. Desert Ghost was voted by the specialist media one of the best brazilian releases of 2018, as well as Angra’s Omni and Krisiun’s Scorge of the Enthroned.
