ONN – How Zennie Abraham Oakland Vlogger Got Into Vlogging Is A Video From Vloggercon 2006 San Francisco – vlog by Zennie62 YouTube
The things you find poking around. A random click on an old post from SFist on Vloggercon 2006, revealed a link to a website that’s a treasure: The Internet Archive. The link was to a large number of what really are now classic vlogs from and related to the Vloggercons in New York in 2005 and in San Francisco in 2006. A lot of people who are still legendary today are in those videos, like Marc Center. Marc made the first social network before Facebook, and is regarded as the “godfather of multimedia”. Now, he’s working on an exciting startup and helps me as Zennie62Media Advisory Board member.
But, after some clicks, I discovered an interview I did at San Francisco Vloggercon. It feels both weird and cool to be a small part of tech history, but there – or here – I am.
I have to thank Jeffrey Heyman for allowing me to represent Peralta College at Vloggercon. That was the only way I could afford to go: getting around the steep ($600) ticket. In turn, I have to thank my former boss and friend former Oakland Mayor Elihu Harris, who was Peralta Community College District Chairman at the time. I was sharing my new found interest in vlogging, and he on-the-spot introduced me to Jeff. The rest really is history.
Stay tuned.

Note from Zennie62Media’s Zennie62 YouTube and Oakland News Now Today Blog SF Bay Area: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. What we call “The Third Wave of Media”. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
