Speaking to journalists in Belfast, as part of a tour of the four nations of the United Kingdom, Starmer highlighted that improving the U.K.’s relationship with the EU would require a commitment to uphold existing agreements. “We’re not going to be able to get a better relationship unless we demonstrate a commitment to the relationship of the agreements that have already been put in place,” Starmer said.
