Las Vegas Stadium Allegiant Stadium Construction Cam Page Blocked From View
ONN – Two Las Vegas Stadium Allegiant Stadium Construction Workers Photoed Violating Social Distancing
The original headline was “Las Vegas Stadium Allegiant Stadium Construction Cam Page Blocked From View” and that was just a day after a second worker tested positive for the Coronavirus.
But the headline was changed after 2:22 AM EST. Then, a viewer sent a photo to me via email, and wrote “Just drove by. Metro police there at night to chase people off? They are doing more night work – harder for OSHA to monitor? No 6 feet guys!” The photo featured two men walking closer than any six-foot distance and inside the construction zone, with the giant Raiders stadium clearly in the background.
The fan who took the photo later sent this map of the location of the Las Vegas Stadium Workers, putting them just off Dean Martin Drive, and well on stadium grounds, as the photo itself shows.
That’s the clearest piece of evidence, yet, that the Las Vegas Raiders appear to be hiding their true intentions from the public. At least there’s some explaining to do. It seems the organization, and the builders Mortenson-McCarthy, are trying to maintain a time-table toward some preferred early date of completion (perhaps the July 31st mark of “substantial completion), and without true concern for social distancing. From this picture, and considering the games with the camera, they just don’t want to get caught. And regardless of how many workers get COVID-19 Coronavirus.
Who is allowing this? Why doesn’t the Governor of Nevada stop this? And why doesn’t the media ask him? Governor Sisolak was on The Rachel Maddow Show last week – not a peep about the stadium and the reason its considered “essential”, or for that matter, Resorts World, where a third worker tested positive for COVID-19 Coronavirus.
Another frequent reader of Oakland News Now who does business in Las Vegas wrote to me that: “It’s crazy, the owner of one of the hotels that I work with in Las Vegas, which is located just down the street from the stadium, said that he drive by the stadium site yesterday and saw hundreds of workers all working in close proximity and mulling around in large groups, no distancing at all…”

This Friday morning, more photos were sent to this blogger and do show more examples of social distancing policy not followed by the construction managers at Las Vegas Stadium.

I was a concrete contractor for many years. Unfortunately this is how you have to work to pour these type of projects. Surprised they are not being required to wear mask though.

Allegiant Stadium Construction Camera Was Hidden From View On Raiders Desktop-Version Website
For some reason, the Las Vegas Stadium Allegiant Stadium Construction Camera Page on the Raiders website was blocked from view on Thursday night, April 9th. While no official note was given for the loss of the camera from the website, the event happened to occur just two days after it was announced that a second worker tested positive for COVID-19.
On the Zennie62 YouTube livestream show, two viewers tried to toss in fake news: one claiming there was something wrong with the camera, then the other asserting there was nothing wrong. The misdirection continued even after I used the Wayback Machine to show that the interior camera page was removed, as well as the “view” camera links.
Then, after Zennie62Media regular PJ noticed that the livestream was up on the mobile version of the site, it was still strange. Why would the organization have a clearly blocked camera on the desktop version of the Raiders website, but not the mobile version?
In all, it seemed to me that the Raiders may have been concerned that a viewer would see instances of violating social distancing policy. Indeed, the camera may work at night, but then it’s harder to see how many people were at work, or what they were doing, and how they were standing with respect to the policy.
Then, a friend of my show drove by Las Vegas Stadium and took the photo above of the two workers, walking as if there was no social distancing policy to worry about, or Coronavirus to fear.
Does Nevada OSHA care?
