ONN – Let’s Talk Mars Landing And Oakland Raiders Relocating There From Las Vegas.
What would it take to get the NFL to Mars? How long? How much would it cost? My ballpark estimate is $50 billion, which would include design, training, transport to and from Mars, and lodging on the Red Planet, and communications from it. But the World would be focused on this true interstellar contest.
As I continue to consider this idea, and reflect on what viewers comments were during the livestream, it occurs to me that I under-estimated the total cost of the project.
If we take the need to design and build the stadium, the consider the need to transport materials, it may be better to just make the necessary components for the stadium on Mars rather than on Earth. That would save money in the development of large ships to get materials from here to there.
Overall, we’re looking at not $50 billion but more like $100 billion. Most of that cost would be the stadium.
Who would join the Raiders? I think the pairing should be The Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys. Others say Raiders and Steelers or New England Patriots.
But this marks the first time anyone has seriously pondered how the NFL could play its games on Mars.
Stay tuned.
