Oakland News Now –Local company launches lost and found database for pets impacted by LA wildfires

OaklandNewsNow.com is the original blog post for this type of video-blog content.In response to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, local pet company Cleo&Hooman has introduced a lost and found pet database to help reunite displaced pets with their families. The database allows people to report missing or found pets via a form or by reaching out through direct message on their Instagram. Submitted information is organized into a searchable spreadsheet that pet owners can use to locate their animals. Since its launch, the initiative has gained significant traction, with widespread community support leading to hundreds of entries and numerous reunions. Shelters, rescues, and volunteers have played a key role by caring for displaced pets and providing foster homes to alleviate shelter overcrowding. Cleo&Hooman plans to maintain the database as long as needed and is keeping a list of ongoing events in the community. They have also organized their own events in order to support pet parents, including dog washes, care kit distributions and donation drives.
