Dance In The Streets For Revolution For Mali Watkins In Alameda, CA: Kenny Hoff Vlog

Note: The maker of the vlog “Dance In The Streets For Revolution For Mali Watkins In Alameda, CA: Kenny Hoff Vlog” on YouTube used my text description as if the video was made by me; it was not. I think Kenny Hoff just copied and pasted my blog description and blog post without looking at what was being copied and pasted. He could have just posted the press release itself.

Stay tuned.

The press release:

WHAT:
Dance your heart out and raise your voices in joyful protest. Bring your signs. Bring water. Bring your voices. Bring your masks. Please observe social distancing and dance 6 feet apart.

WHERE/WHEN:
Join us at Jackson Park in Alameda, this Friday, June 12th, at 3:30 PM. We will be dancing through the streets of Alameda from 4pm until we reach the Police Station at 1555 Oak Street.

WHY:
Because black people cannot EXIST in this country without the threat of racist police mistreatment.

Mali Watkins, a respected resident of the City of Alameda, was harassed, thrown to the ground and arrested…for dancing while black. Yes, that’s correct – a Karen called the cops on a man for literally DANCING IN THE STREET. IMAGINE feeling so threatened by black expressions of joy that you feel the need to call the police as a result.

So far, there has been NO DISCIPLINARY ACTION announced against the involved officers.

We demand JUSTICE!!!

Our Objectives:

1) SHOW SOLIDARITY
For the less privileged and marginalized individuals of our society. Remember and honor the millions who have been harassed, abused and mistreated by law enforcement, such as our brother Mali Watkins. Remember and honor those who were murdered at the hands of police. Oscar Grant (Bay Area, killed by BART Police, on New Year’s Eve), Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, Akai Gurley, Tamir Rice, Freddie Gray, Philando Castille, Stephon Clark, Botham Jean, Atatiana Jefferson, Michael Brown, Tony McDade, Alton Sterling and thousands more.

2) DEMILITARIZE AND DEFUND POLICE NOW
Reroute local police force budgets towards community development and education programs, including the City of Alameda’s, remove budgets items for militarization of law enforcement. Build from the ground up with social workers, community programs, racial bias and empathy training for all charged with protecting and serving our communities.

Note from Zennie62Media and Oakland News Now: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. What we call “The Third Wave of Media”. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
