ONN – Marcus Allen, Of The Oakland NFL Stadium Development Team, Is Promoting Raiders Las Vegas Stadium
In 2016, Oakland Raiders Legend and NFL Hall of Famer Marcus Allen was part of a group of former NFL Players who formed a development team that was to, supposedly, work to build a new stadium home for the Oakland Raiders at the Coliseum Complex. That group was called “The Lott Group”, after NFL Hall of Fame San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders Legend Ronnie Lott, and included USC teammate Rodney Peete.
Here’s Ronnie Lott:
In a controversial story that started in 2014 with Oakland Raiders Manager of The General Partnership Mark Davis planning a move to Las Vegas with NFL Executive Vice President Eric Grubman, continued with many examples of less-than-good-faith dealing on the part of the Raiders (and according to several City of Oakland and Alameda County elected officials), and ended with the Raiders involvement in building a new stadium in Las Vegas as a prelude to relocation, one would think that Lott, Peete, and Allen would have joined the City of Oakland’s lawsuit against the Raiders and the NFL.
Well not only did they not do that, but Allen has taken up the work of helping promote the Raiders Las Vegas move.
The NFL commercial’s the latest example of Allen’s speaking in favor of the stadium effort, and not addressing any of the Oakland claims against the Raiders and the NFL.
So, given that commercial today, and a lawsuit against Peete that claimed the effort by the development group to build a stadium was not a real one, it’s only appropriate to ask what why Allen is doing what he’s doing, and what is the truth?
Stay tuned.
Oakland News Now Note: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest version of an experimental Zennie62Media mobile media video-blogging system network. This is a major part of our new approach to the production of news media. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and also seek interested content and media technology partners.
