Megan Avalon was a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym on Grand Avenue when she introduced herself. Megan was not afraid to seek out personal training clients, and had the combination of looks, confidence, and friendliness to do it.

It was those combinations that made Megan Avalon want to reach beyond being a personal trainer for a gym, and to establish her own brand as a fit model. Oakland, not known for embracing celebrities and models, and is caught up in its pathologies, had a celebrity and model right in its own backyard.

In this interview, Megan had a message for women who were thinking about weight training and getting strong, but were blocked by commonly expressed fears.
