Darryl Stinnette of Texas is the Bay Bridge Shooting victim.
The victim of the Monday August 6 SF / Oakland Bay Bridge Shooting, where an SUV driver and passenger were the target of a drive-by shooting early that morning, was identified as 31-year-old Darryl Stinnette of Texas. He was taken to San Francisco General, but did not make it, and passed away due to the gun shot wounds.
As reported yesterday here, The Bay Bridge Eastbound level was backed up and after a shooting between two men that reportedly happened at 2:30 AM PST this Monday, August 6th.
According to reports from the California Highway Patrol’s Officer Bert Diaz, and posted here at Oakland News Now, one person died as a result of the shooting. three vehicles were traveling on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 around 2:23 a.m. The two men who were shot were riding in an SUV in the No. 5 lane (to the extreme right on the deck), the California Highway Patrol said, when an unknown vehicle pulled alongside in an unknown lane and shot at the SUV, causing it to collide with a sedan traveling in the No. 3 lane, which is in the middle of the lower eastbound deck of the Bay Bridge.

Meanwhile, no arrests have been made, no motive given, and the hunt for the shooter continues, as others recover from the incident.
