The violent and unnecessary arrest of Ivan Tory on Saturday in Monroe,Georgia has become a viral news story.
According to Fox 5 News Atlanta, Ivan Tory was the victim of an overzealous and arguably racist Monroe Officer. Moreover, Fox 5 News said the Monroe Police Chief described the officer as young and with “a lot to learn”.
Monroe Police were in the Monroe Estates area looking for a reported “under-age” party. Shenna Tory, the wife of Ivan Tory, said the Police never came into their home. Reportedly they just started ordering and then tazzing and arresting people.
While arresting the residents, the officer didn’t read anyone their Miranda rights, just grabbed them and handcuffed or tazzed them. The office can be witnessed yelling “Who’s next” to be arrested?
Yet another example of racist law enforcement actions toward blacks in America in 2019. This is the third nationally known one this weekend alone.
