NFL and WE Partner For Huddle For Good, Huddle for 100 Initiative

Huddle for Good is Part of the NFL’s Huddle for 100 Initiative

New York, NY – The National Football League (NFL) and WE, a charitable organization with a mission to make doing good doable, have teamed up to engage K-12 schools and youth groups to volunteer their time towards the NFL’s Huddle for 100 initiative through Huddle for Good.

To honor the NFL’s 100th season, the league, teams, partners and fans are giving back to their communities through Huddle for 100, a season-long initiative rallying 1 million people to donate 100 minutes of their time. The collective goal is to exceed 100 million minutes.

WE’s free, experiential service-learning program, WE Schools, provides teachers across America with educational resources and action campaigns to empower students with the skills, knowledge and motivation to bring positive change in themselves and the world. Embedding service learning into the classroom provides students with the tools to take action on issues they are passionate about.

Through Huddle for Good, WE will equip schools with easy-to-use action planning and do-it-yourself guides to support huddling for any of the WE Schools campaigns.

In May, WE launched the Huddle for Good resource in over 6500 schools – over the course of the initiative, participating students will volunteer time that will contribute to Huddle for 100. The minutes accumulated through Huddle for Good will be celebrated at Super Bowl LIV in Miami.

“The NFL is thrilled to partner with WE on such an important initiative for the league during our 100th season,” said Anna Issacson, SVP of Social Responsibility, NFL. “We’re excited about the minutes Huddle for Good will accumulate, and even more importantly, the many communities that WE Schools will positively impact through Huddle for 100.”

“I’m grateful to see so many young people huddling for good to make an impact in their local communities and beyond,” said Craig Kielburger, Co-Founder of WE. “More than ever, young people across the world are at the forefront of change. They are not waiting by ideally for others to create the change they want to see in our world and for their futures. They are stepping up, taking action and volunteering their time because they want to make a difference.”
