Nick Bosa fielded softball questions about his football play while the 900-lbs elephant in the room – the controversial political and arguably racist tweets went ignored. Then, this video-blogger chimed in with a question about that which opened the flood gates for other related questions. But it needed to be gotten out of the way: what did such social media entries say about a man who’s due to put on the jersey of a major sports organization – probably the San Francisco 49ers?

For his part, Bosa was reluctant to say much, but did offer that the people who knew him, knew who he was. Then, in response to another question, he admitted that social media didn’t characterize him as the person he really was.

You can tell that’s a part of life Bosa wishes he could do over again. But, on the other hand, this is America, and he does have a right to his opinion.
