Nick Johnson Oakland Videos Are From Right-Wing GOP Effort, But Where’s Left-Wing Democrat Response?
Nick Johnson is the name of a YouTuber who makes videos of urban policy problems in many Democratic cities. While he has made four about Oakland, Nick has also posted videos from visits to San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle, and other places. He even has videos directly calling out Democrats.
While the vlogs produce angry responses from some, others agree with them. But guess what? There’s no Democratic response. Moreover this is not the first time a right wing person did videos like this with respect to Oakland. A black woman did two years ago, but to less outrage – the videos were not as high in production effort.
But through all of this, there has been no left response. Whining in the comments section or on Facebook will not cut it. Democratic Party operatives must wake up. Make better policy and stick together would be a good starr. Also keep government assistance programs established because of the Pandemic. Why? The Pandemic is not over.
But Oakland must act to solve its problems and stop being lazy in its collective response to them.
