ONN – “No Coal In Oakland” Mistaken Jobs Numbers On OBOT

The good folks at “No Coal In Oakland” don’t seem to understand that the Oakland Bulk and Oversized Terminal (OBOT) is not a “coal terminal” and is the multi-commodity transportation facility that will generate more than the 130 direct jobs and has already employed over 3,000 people in its actual real-life pre-development-to-development phase, and is also one terminal in the set of planned terminals in the Oakland Global project.

It’s much like an airport that has different terminal operations.

Also, the good folks at “No Coal In Oakland” seem to miss the fact that there is a six-to-one or more jobs multiplier that comes with this kind of development. They don’t like the number so they try to explain it away. The explanations given are groundless.

Phil Tagami and Insight Terminal Solutions brought their story to Zennie62Media because the mainstream media was not doing so. The Oakland Bulk and Oversized Terminal is a project this vlogger has been involved with going back to the days of the Alameda Base Reuse Committee in 1993.

Stay tuned.

Oakland News Now Note: this post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest version of an experimental Zennie62Media mobile media video-blogging system network – part of a new approach to the production of media. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and social media pages. The objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. We are constantly working to improve the system network coding and also seek interested content and media technology partners.
