This event is ahead of the Port of Oakland’s 1:30 PM Meeting on the Exclusive Negotiating Agreement for the Jack London Square Ballpark at Howard Terminal.
Some talk of opposition to the Ballpark at Jack London Square, but Richard reports there are 1,000 people at this rally. I hardly call that opposition. I think the idea that there is resistance is manufactured by San Francisco media. We’re not seeing any real, credible opposition to this.
The last effort met with real road-blocks; this one is a real chance to work.
Coliseum Below Sea Level Says Dave Kaval
Richard Haick reports that Oakland A’s President Dave Kaval told him that the Oakland Coliseum was below sea level and would continue to sink over time; it would take $400 million to bring it up to level, and then spend money to create Coliseum City takes more money.
