Oakland Pride 2018 kicked-off with the 6th Annual Oakland Pride Breakfast hosted by The East Bay Stonewall Democrats at the Oakland Rotunda in Downtown Oakland. (If you’re down there, look for the Rotunda plaque with my name “Zenophon Abraham” on it.) Here’s a look at the event, thanks to social media, and Joseph Tanios, to start. (Tanios is running for the Oakland City Council Seat to be vacated by Annie Campbell Washingon, who’s not seeking re-election.)
As you can see, U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D – 13th District of California) was the keynote speaker. She was joined by a number of well-known Oaklanders including Tom Guarino of Pacific Gas and Electric Co., Oakland District 2 Councilmember Abel Guillen (also running for re-election), Richmond City Councilmember Jovanka Beckles (who’s running for the California Assembly 15th District Seat).
And then there was the Oakland Pride Parade…
