The Oakland Panthers, the newest addition to the Indoor Football League or IFL, will hold it’s first player tryouts at Oakland Technical High School, 4351 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94611, Sunday, November 3rd, 2019, 8 AM to 2 PM PST. (Story exclusive to Zennie62Media.)
The Oakland Panthers IFL team was created by Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks legend Marshawn Lynch and his team co-owner Roi Choi.
Team co-owner Marshawn Lynch said, “I believe the power of football has the ability to transform a community and the families who live there. I’ve seen it and lived it. I’m excited that Da’ Town will get another team to call its own. I attended some Indoor Football games last year and had a good ass time. The games have lots of fluidity and tickets are priced so that the entire family can check it out.”
Lynch added, “I was blessed with my time and journey making it to the league but there are more ways of getting there than the route I took, so its hella important to me, to keep finding opportunities for players to pursue their dreams of getting to that next level and I know the Panthers and this league can help with that.”
Officially launched at a press conference at the former Oracle and now Oakland Arena, the Oakland Panthers have made fast progress toward an eventual inaugural season in Oakland in 2020.
Kickoff of the new Oakland Panthers and the Indoor Football League in Oakland is slated to start March 13th, 2020 and run through June 7th, 2020, plus playoffs at the Oakland Arena.
