In a recent newsletter, Oakland Parks, Recreation & Youth Development announced the return of a program Oaklanders should be informed about, called “Town Camp” and billed as “The Oakland Youth Summer Experience” for summer 2019.

At Town Camp, Oakland’s Youth learn leadership skills and develop self-confidence in a safe and inclusive environment. Each week of Town Camp has an exciting theme including activities such as swimming, field trips, crafts, games, and cooking projects. Town Camp’s “Reading is Fun” and “Math Power Hour” return as positive skills reinforcement.
Town Camp is available weekly from June 10 to Aug 9 at the following Oakland Parks, Recreation & Youth Development recreation sites:
