Oakland Public Ethics Commission has Oakland elections news: today’s campaign finance statements day!
Hey, Oaklander, if you’re running for Mayor of Oakland, Oakland City Council, Oakland City Auditor, or Oakland Unified School District Board, your campaign finance reports are due today. The Oakland Public Ethics Commission issued a tweet to announce this deadline today, but a blog and maybe later a vlog, will help get the word out, right?
Here’s the Oakland Public Ethics Commission’s tweet from today, July 31. The tweet reads “Attention Oakland election campaigns: Semi-annual campaign finance statements due today! For help with state reporting requirements contact: [email protected] or call 1-866-275-3772. Don’t miss the deadline!”

And while we’re on the subject of the Oakland Public Ethics Commission, I was remiss in failing to report that this fall, the OPEC will seek new blood for its vampire duties, ah, I mean roll-out the red carpet for new commission members this fall (just kidding). And thanks again to Whitney Barazoto, the Executive Director of the Oakland Public Ethics Commission, for the Zennie62 on YouTube vlog interview at Art and Soul Festival last weekend.
Finally, the Oakland Public Ethics Commission does great work, but this whole deal about a new policy for the distribution of sports tickets to Oakland elected officials is rather annoying to this blogger. That’s is a bit of a teaser for my upcoming post on this subject.
Stay tuned.
