Oakland News Now – I lively livestream discussion that started with a preview of the Oakland Raiders at Miami Dolphins game, and ended with a review of the agenda for the September 20th 1 PM Las Vegas Stadium Authority Meeting.
The Raiders vs. Dolphins matchup is what I called a “Broncos-like” game during the livestream and because the Raiders can’t stop the run on defense when compared to the Dolphins, while The Fins have a better offensive ground game. The Raiders on paper can move the ball better than the Dokphins thanks to their passing game, and the Dolphins are weak in that area in terms of yards given up. But the reason for that stat may be due to the Dolphins gaining a lead over their opponent, which then has to quit the running game to catch up.
The talk about the Las Vegas Stadium Authority Meeting focused on a $1.7 million fund transfer to the debt service reserve and while the document that reported this was written in mud, the simple fact that $1.7 million is being put in the debt service fund of the Las Vegas Stadium Authority would indicate a problem with not enough revenue coming from the hotel stadium tax.
Stay tuned.
