Oakland Raiders Las Vegas Stadium Construction Is Behind Schedule: Here’s Proof
ONN – Oakland Raiders Las Vegas Stadium Construction Is Behind Schedule: Here’s Proof
Las Vegas Stadium Construction is said to be “on schedule,” but is it? To test that the new Las Vegas NFL home of the Oakland Raiders was, indeed, on schedule, we went back and looked at the video timeline animation.
We compared the official video animation of the stadium construction process by McCarthy with the current livestream video of the stadium as it goes up, and online at Raiders.com. What we found was that at the date of 6-23-2019 in the video animation, the stadium’s roof assembly was finished.
So, we went back and looked at the Raiders Las Vegas Stadium livestream video for today, 6-23-2019. The roof’s truss structure is about 75 percent done.
Next, we went back to estimate where the stadium was in the model such that it would be at the same point now, 6-23-2019. That was 3-19-2020, or about 96 days ahead of that 6-23-2019 date. So, we took that 96 days, and then added it to the projected stadium completion date of July 31st, 2020 listed on the video – the result was November 4th, 2020.
So, the Las Vegas Stadium would not be ready until November 4th, 2020.
Given that there was a “three-month-move-in-date“, one of my readers asked to have that added on to the November 4th, 2020 date. That took us into Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
The bottom line is the Raiders and University of Nevada Las Vegas Stadium will not be ready for a full NFL 2020 Season. Moreover, it looks like the stadium will be opened in 2021 if we consider the earlier three-month-move-in date.
In earlier blog and video posts, Oakland News Now and Zennie62 on YouTube noted that the Las Vegas Stadium Authority changed the end date to mid September 2020, but when we noticed the changed, they switched back to the July 31st 2020 date as a “desired point” of completion with mid August, the opening day period.
But the evidence is clear: the home of the Oakland Raiders and UNLV in Las Vegas is behind schedule.
Stay tuned.
