Oakland Raiders Lose To LA Rams 33 To 13, Jon Gruden Must Fix Derek Carr’s Footwork

Oakland News Now – The Raiders outgained the Rams 395 yards to 365 yards but the difference was Carr’s three interceptions. For some reason Carr’s passes sailed on him many times in the second half, and in one case caused the second pick.

Oakland Raiders Head Coach Jon Gruden must work with Carr and improve his footwork. He should also install a set of five-wide-receiver formations and plays that are designed to complete short passes that then become long-gainers.

The Raiders under Gruden ran a lot of “touchdown to check down” pass plays, which is fine, but they need companion throws that have receiver combos high / lo, and quick slants off receiver rub action.

It goes without saying that Khalil Mack was missed. That’s for another vlog.

Stay tuned.
