Oakland Raiders Lost To LA Chargers 26 To 10, Go 1-4 – Postgame Reaction Livestream
The Oakland Raiders visited the Los Angeles Chargers, and came away not just with a loss, but with even more questions around what kinds of decisions are causing the Silver and Black’s 1 and 4 record.
The main question was why did Gruden not let Marshawn Lynch, the team’s premier running back, run the touchdown in, when faced with a goal-to-go situation against the Chargers. Gruden’s response was that they normally run, and so expected the pass to be open, but it was intercepted.
The Zennie62 and Oakland fans expressed a range of emotions from extreme disappointment, to frustration, to expressed apathy. Many have simply given up on the Silver and Black.
And a small number think the team’s throwing the season to stock-pile draft picks. But that view is really stupid to me, and because it assumes the players have a monetary stake in the team, when they don’t.
The standard relationship format between player and team is such that the player expects the coach to put him in the right position to make plays – all the better to ask for a high-dollar contract. So, a player has zero reason to throw a season.
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor McGregor Talk, Too
I also discussed the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor McGregor fight, and the melee, afterward. I don’t understand how it started (I didn’t see the fight), but my viewers explain that it was due to racial slurs that Conor McGregor issued in past events.
Even then, Khabib Nurmagomedov should have taken the issue to UFC boss Dana White, rather than go fighting Conor McGregor’s people, and risking getting the millions he expects to collect from the battle. That was just plain stupid.
Muhammad Ali Fought For More Than Himself – he’s the only reason I watched boxing. The UFC male fighters don’t stand for anything other than meaningless controversy. The UFC female fighters are path-breakers of which I am fans of.
But I digress.
Stay tuned.
