Oakland News Now – The Thursday night Oakland Raiders Livestream Talk on Zennie62 on YouTube started at 9:30 PM PST, and just as the Raiders were starting the 3rd Quarter of the final NFL Preseason Game against the Seattle Seahawks, in Seattle.
The Zennie62 YouTube Live viewership (which rose to 55 people at once for a good while, observed that E.J. Manuel was the better quarterback over Connor Cook, and should get the nod to backup Derek Carr. His numbers were the reason: 18 of 22 for 255 yards and 3 touchdowns and a quarterback rating of 154.54, versus Cook’s 3 of 5 for 36 yards, no touchdowns and a rating of 82.08.
Connor Cook has to learn to work within a play, so if the flat receiver is open first, thrown it to that receiver – let the play work as designed.
Then, our talk turned to the matter of the Las Vegas Stadium Parking Report. To set this up, I present to you some information from the recent past: 16,250: that’s the number of spaces the Raiders were supposed to come up with, but the plan shows a top-end total of 14,650 spaces and 12,000 spaces at the low end.
The Associated Press reports that “County officials have allowed the team to have far fewer than the required 16,250 parking spots at the stadium site due to space limitations.” Wow.
First, you have to know that Mark Davis demanded 8,000 parking spaces next to the Oakland Coliseum. This plan has two main parking areas over a mile away from the stadium, and close to the entrance to Las Vegas International Airport. Add bus service to and from the stadium, and Raiders fans are smack in the middle of airport-related traffic along Interstate 15. Or you can say, air travelers are smack in the middle of Raiders Game Day traffic. It looks like the makings of a mess.
