Oakland Restaurant Week 2022 Moves From January To March, Amid Omicron Variant Concerns

One trip to the website of Visit Oakland, recently, showed that Oakland Restaurant Week 2022 was on its way, and that’s after Visit Oakland gave it a COVID-era face-lift for 2021:

From Jan. 7-18, 2021, Visit Oakland will promote via its dedicated landing page a number of deals and specials from participating local restaurants, as has come to be expected of the annual Oakland Restaurant Week, now in its 11th year.

Well, that’s not happening, Oaklanders.  In this ZENNIE62MEDIA, INC / OaklandNewsNow.com exclusive, Visit Oakland has made the decision to move Oakland Restaurant Week from January 7th, or next week, to March 2011 and a specific date was not provided by my source at the time.  The reason?  The rapid spread of the COVID-19 Omicron Variant.
