Oakland Schools News OUSD/OAL High School Football Championship Games Today

Oakland – The 2021 OUSD / Oakland Athletic League (OAL) Fall Football Season comes to a close on Saturday, November 27. This celebrated season comes after an abbreviated and delayed 2020 football season which happened last spring. Each year, the OUSD/OAL season ends with the Silver Bowl, which is the league championship game, and today, there is a championship game at the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels.

Both games happen this afternoon and evening on the new field at Fremont High School in East Oakland. First is the JV game between Fremont High and McClymonds High. Then comes the varsity game between Skyline High and McClymonds High. Prior to last year’s abbreviated season, McClymonds made it to the CIF State Championship Game the previous four consecutive seasons, winning three State Championships in a row.
