Oakland – The popular Scott’s Seafood Jack London Square Restaurant as well as the giant Lettuce Entertain You restaurant company, issued these “Coronavirus Policy Update” yesterday. Here’s the one I received from Scott’s Seafood Jack London Square:
Dear Patrons;
As we all continue to monitor the developments of the novel coronavirus and COVID-19 we wanted to let you know that the team at Scott’s Seafood Grill and Bar has had refresher counseling on disease prevention and is following the employer guidelines issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). As well as our standard protocols of handwashing and adhering to hygiene regulations, we are providing additional hand sanitizers throughout our restaurants. We also employ a 24×7 janitorial crew to ensure the ongoing cleanliness of our restaurants.
Per the recommendations of OSHA, the CDC and World Health Organization (WHO), we are taking preventative measures with our employees, including but not limited to having them stay home and seek medical advice from their health professional if they exhibit any flu-like symptoms, fever or have difficulty breathing. Furthermore, if an employee has traveled to a CDC defined, “Level-3” region, they will not be working at our restaurants for 14-days and we encourage them to self-quarantine, per the CDC’s guidelines.
For more information about the coronavirus, please visit the CDC and WHO sites listed below:
