Salvador Saucedo was able to escape custody around 7 p.m. Thursday night while at Mid Coast Medical Center. RELATED: Law enforcement searching for man who escaped custody at hospital in Bellville In a press release Monday, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office announced that it was teaming up with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force to attempt to locate Saucedo. Saucedo was in custody on multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and assault on a peace officer, according to the WCSO. He has also been charged with escape. Officials say he was not wearing handcuffs at the time he escaped, and it is unclear if he is now armed.
