ONN – On Mike Florio, Rusty Hardin Deshaun Watson Consentual Sex, And Massage Therapists As Prostitutes – vlog by Zennie62 YouTube
On Mike Florio, Rusty Hardin Deshaun Watson Consentual Sex, And Massage Therapists As Prostitutes. And here I will introduce you to the pathbreaking work of TCU Professor Vanessa Bouche.
Mike Florio, the founder, friend (we know each other) and pundit on Pro Football Talk, seems to be taking the media strategy of trying to try Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson in the court of social media, and find him guilty of something.
For example from this post on PFT, Florio takes Houston Massage Therapist Jasmine Brooks words from a TV appearance but fails to use the words she typed and put on her Instagram account. Words in black and white on my Zennie62 YouTube channel and Oakland News Now blog.
She wrote:
“..do not know any of the victims personally, nor was the correspondence a shared conversation between a victim and myself. I am unsure how my text to a friend got taken out of context, sent around, and used for this situation. Buzbee is playing a very dirty game and manipulating words to work in favor of his clients. This deceptive use of my unrelated conversation does not change the fact that I haven’t had a bad experience with Deshaun Watson. In my three years of working with him he has always been a professional. My reasons for ending our professional relationship were simply due to my personal preference of not liking to work behind other therapists – as many of us don’t. Additionally, I have other work and clients that took priority over my shared treatment of Watson, and thought it best his other therapists take over.”
Florio’s trying to say she’s lying – and that effort points to my claim that Florio’s trying to make Watson look bad. In this, Florio misses several facts pointing to a bigger issue.
One is that Houston is a place where hundreds of massage parlors were found to be operating as places for prostitution – a major sex trafficking objective. Two is that Texas Christian University Professor Vanessa Bouche has done path breaking work focusing on Houston, and found that there were 292 IMBs or illegal message businesses active in Houston in 2017. Then, in 2020, she told Dallas Magazine that because of COVID-19 restrictions in Texas, the massage businesses could not be open, so they may have went underground to apartments and other venues. All of her work and comments are more than relevant to the Watson / Buzbee matter.
Moreover, all of this points back to the Houston Texans. If the Texans were found to have known about this problem and were helping Watson get to these IMBs, they could be in even larger trouble. The question would be what did they know and who else on the team did they help get to IMBs?
Stay tuned.
P.S. In an email response to my invitation to come on my live show, Professor Vanessa Bouche took issue with how her work was presented, stating that she was only referring to illegal massage therapy businesses:
You seem to be conflating illicit massage businesses (of the type I analyze in my research) with professionally LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPISTS. Please review my article on the problem with conflating these two things.
In the published work you are referring to (co-authored with Sean Crotty), we clearly define what we mean by an illicit massage business–business that are often engaging in sex trafficking through force, fraud, and coercion of foreign victims in the U.S., as well as other organized criminal activities like tax evasion, money laundering, immigration fraud, etc. The professional licensed massage therapists that have made allegations against Watson are NOT part of the IMI that we analyze in that study you are referring to. These women are professionally licensed massage therapists who DO NOT perform sex acts under their license.
It is very unfortunate that professional, licensed massage therapists have become the scapegoats legislatively for the IMI. It is also unfortunate that this situation may serve to validate serious concerns of licensed massage therapists that the growth in the IMI leads to the incorrect assumption among some customers that any massages can lead to some sex act, making the profession increasingly unsafe for LMTs.
I am agnostic as to this particular situation as I do not have all the facts. However, what I do know is that conflating these LMTs with the IMI is incorrect and an inappropriate application of my research.
My response is here:
I will add that, but why not come on and talk about that? It’s information people need to know.
Also, your response invites a question: what about the situation regarding COVID-19? Why should a person assume a licensed practitioner might do something for money outside their license? I am asking hard questions because many black NFL players are hunted for their money. My late cousin Fred Lane Jr was an NFL Running Back. His wife killed him July 8, 2000, and claimed domestic violence – we did not believe it. Prosecutors found she lied and also that Dedre killed Fred because she knew he knew she robbed a bank.
If that happened today Fred Jr would have been killed twice: once by Dedre and once by social media.
I have had enough of good, straight, young black men being hunted, violated, and lied about by this social system. Where’s the power structure that defends us? We have to build it. That’s one reason why owning my own media company affords the luxury of shining a light on the Watson matter from this perspective.
My very fiber tells me something is wrong here that the so-called mainstream media misses, and folks like Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk made their business off reporting bad stuff about black NFL players. In 2005, he posted a cartoon of a black person that was sambo-ish, and I never stopped blasting him for it. Today, we have Amy Cooper who called the police on Chris Cooper and told a big lie caught on camera.
Professor I am not resting on this matter. If you can’t or do not want to help even by talking about what’s going on, and with me as a media person who’s black, that’s beyond sad. I hope you reconsider, but at the end of the day, I have to figure out an alternative.
The Media And Tony Buzbee Has Called Unlicensed Massage Therapists Licensed
Since that exchange, the Deshaun Watson case built around a number of fake lawsuits has only become larger. But the main problem remains: the massage therapists Mr. Buzbee claims are licensed, far more often than not, are not. All one has to do is check the Texas License Database, as I have done.
Again, I say, Stay tuned.

Note from Zennie62Media’s Zennie62 YouTube and Oakland News Now Today Blog SF Bay Area: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. What we call “The Third Wave of Media”. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
