Paul George And Kawhi Leonard To LA Clippers Due To Jerry West
ONN – Paul George And Kawhi Leonard To LA Clippers Due To Jerry West. Jerry West, the LA Clippers front office mastermind consultant who’s credited with the deals for Leonard and George, also known as the “The Logo” for the NBA, strikes again.
Kawhi Leonard has been recruiting Paul George to find a way to get to the Clippers and LA pulled it off tonight: George goes to the Clippers with Leonard, and together they walk into Staples Center to go head-to-head with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

After Leonard pushed George to find a way to get to the Clippers, Paul George approached the team and requested a trade, league sources tell ESPN. OKC was left with no choice and made the best out of a difficult situation, per sources.

Kawhi Leonard is leaving the Toronto Raptors and will join a Los Angeles NBA team, it’s just not the LA Lakers. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard will become the third set of elite NBA players to form a “Super Team” and join a new organization for them. Leonard, the free agent, is joined by Paul George, who reportedly was so eager to get away from Russell Westbrook, that he engineered his own trade away from The Oklahoma City Thunder.
The OKC Thunder don’t leave empty-handed. They give up Paul George, but get four unprotected first-round picks, one protected first-round pick, and two pick swaps, as well as All-Rookie point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari.
In other words, The OKC Thunder got rid of Paul George and pushed the “rebuild” button.
IT TOOK A WHILE, BUT PAUL GEORGE FINALLY DECIDED JUST WHAT KEVIN DURANT DID: THAT YOU CAN'T WIN WITH RUSSELL WESTBROOK PLAYING THE WAY HE PLAYS.

No. 2 and Paul George, two LA-area products, finally got what they wanted – to play in LA without having to play with LeBron.

Anthony Davis left the New Orleans Pelicans to join the Lakers, forming the first of these Super Teams. The second “Super Team” was Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, joining the Brooklyn Nets. And this, the pairing of Paul George And Kawhi Leonard, and going to the LA Clippers, and not the Lakers, marks the third.
What’s equally interesting is the NBA Western Conference is the beneficiary of all of this NBA player movement. Moreover, it was done, first, to target the always-powerful Golden State Warriors, then as the other teams seemed to try and keep up with each other.
The Golden State Warriors Are The Ultimate Winners, Here
All of this started a year ago, first with speculation that Kevin Durant was headed to the LA Lakers, and then the target changed to the New York Knicks, for KD. But the overall idea was to build the Lakers into a team that could challenge the Golden State Warriors. The LeBron addition didn’t go as planned, so the talk was adding KD and another star player. But all of that fizzled in a dizzing set of complicated relationships.
At the end of the day, a very damaged Kevin Durant left the Warriors for the Brooklyn Nets, and this space doesn’t think he will ever be the same player, again, once he returns. His replacement is D’Angelo Russell: a young sharp-shooter who will combine with rookie Jordan Poole to turn the Splash Brothers into a Splash Army. Given their style of play, it’s hard to see that the Lakers and Clippers will battle each other, while the Warriors will emerge victorious over both.
Stay tuned.
Oakland News Now Note: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest version of an experimental Zennie62Media mobile media video-blogging system network. This is a major part of our new approach to the production of news media. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and also seek interested content and media technology partners.
