ONN – PewDiePie On YouTube Not To Blame For New Zealand Shooting
The horrible events of the New Zealand Shooting came to impact the YouTube Community. On Twitter, PewDiePie, who now has over 80 million subscribers, was said to be responsible for the actions of the four people who terrorized the two churches.
On Twitter, PewDiePie wrote “Just heard news of the devastating reports from New Zealand Christchurch. I feel absolutely sickened having my name uttered by this person. My heart and thoughts go out to the victims, families and everyone affected by this tragedy.”
This vlogger worked to come to PewDiePie ‘s defense, not believing that he would even think to associate himself with such behavior. What I got was an eye-opening conversation that paints the famed online gamer in a bad light.
Basically, PewDiePie has been labeled as a kind of YouTube enabler. I’ve not seen enough of his videos, but there are some controversies that I’m aware of which would seem to support that claim.
Whatever the case, I can say that PewDiePie has allowed his comment system to run amok – he needs to put in a word filter like I have and make them stop writing hateful comments on YouTube.
Stay tuned.
