Once again, PG&E, or Pacific Gas & Electric Company, is going to turn off power for many in Alameda County.

The good news for Oakland Adams Point residents is that the shut-off plan does not include us. But check your address. This is what came in the email to me:

AC Alert
Advisory: PG&E Shut Off
This is an advisory message from Alameda County. PG&E will be disconnecting power to over 57,000 residences and businesses in Alameda County starting Saturday, October 26th at about 5 pm. Power is expected to be off for more than 48 hours. We encourage you to find alternative energy sources for light, charging devices and other necessities. Plan ahead with food and water, and make sure your grab-and-go emergency kits are ready.
